Ram Is Auctioning The First 1500 TRX To Help Veterans
Will the world’s most powerful pickup also be a million-dollar muscle truck?
Ram will be auctioning the first example of the 2021 1500 TRX at the Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale on Friday, March 26 and all funds will go towards helping American veterans.
The TRX is the quickest, fastest and most powerful mass-produced truck in the world with 702-horsepower from its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V8 engine.
While the base price of the TRX is $71,690, Ram produced a limited run of 702 special Launch Edition versions which started at $92,010 and are already sold out.
The 2021 Ram heading to auction is a Launch Edition with additional options and accessories included, bumping the MSRP up to $96,785. The hopes are that it sells for quite a bit more seeing as how at the Barrett-Jackson auction last year, the first 2020 Corvette went for $3 million. Both the Dodge Viper and Challenger SRT Demon sold for $1 million as a package back in 2018.
No matter how much the truck sells for, all of the proceeds will go towards veterans affairs at the Southeastern Michigan 211 health and human services organization. Bids will be accepted both on-site and remotely.
