Some Gas Stations Seeing Prices Drop Below 70 Cents A Gallon
This is probably the lowest we’ve seen gas prices in the last decade or two. Ironically, nobody should be leaving their homes, let alone a road trip but still. Prices this low are a sight for sore eyes.
The coronavirus has driven gasoline prices to an all-time low. But Speedy’s Grub Shack in Cleveland, Ohio may have the lowest prices in the nation. Just this morning gasoline dropped from an already low $0.98 to a staggering $0.69 cents per gallon of regular unleaded.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, that’s a number that America hasn’t seen consistently at the pumps since 1978.
Naturally, the locals are taking advantage of this, lining up around the block to fill up. Of course, these prices aren’t here to stay (unfortunately). The price drops are a result of supply and demand and also to help people out in these unprecedented times.
While prices like these aren’t everywhere, gas prices are down nationally. So if it’s safe, and legal, for you to do so grab yourself a tank or two.
