Starting Over and Rebuilding the Bronco Body from Scratch: Part 2
If you’ve been following the Sea Foam Beach Cruiser Bronco, you know the rig was in need of some work. Although it ran just fine and drove into the studio on its own power, it needed a serious facelift before going out into the elements.
After tearing it apart and blasting the body, only a handful of pieces were salvageable. The amount of man hours it would have taken to save the remaining panels wasn’t worth it, so we decided to rebuild the entire body with sheet metal from Dennis Carpenter.
This was done with the help of our Car-O-Liner CTR9 fully automatic spot welder 1080p, which expedited the process and moved it along at a much faster clip than if we were to use a standard welding machine.
The next step in the process will be to build the chassis from the ground up and adding a new suspension, axles, engine, transmission, and transfer case. We’ll keep you updated as the build progresses!
