The Cheapest Real Estate In San Francisco Is A Parking Spot Listed At $100,000
Thanks to a booming tech industry, affordable living in San Franciso is hard to come by. So much so that the cheapest real estate is listed at $100,000. And it’s a parking space!
According to Zillow, the median price for a home is more than $1.3 million in the city.
The “affordable” parking spot is just a block from Oracle Park and has an asking price of a mere $100,000, according to SF Gate.
The spot is No. 140, located in a luxury condominium complex at 88 Townsend. A one-bedroom in the complex is listed for $849,000, for reference. The spot even has its own real-estate agent: Compass’ Bill Williams.
While six and seven-figure parking spots are nothing new, it’s still an absurd price. In both New York and San Francisco, parking can sell for substantial amounts. Back in 2012, a spot in Manhattan hit the market asking $1 million.
