The Fastest Bulletproof Car In The World
The company known for making the Rezvani SUV more of an armored tank, International Armoring, has switched gears from big and bulky to speed and slender. They’ve added a protective layer to a Tesla Model S and did it without changing the appearance of the electric vehicle. The company handed the job over to its Armormax lightweight armoring division and had the Tesla modified in order to shield it from both ballistic and bioweapon attacks. Becuase if you’re in a situation that needs that level of protection, you’ll be in a Tesla, right? On the other hand, if you do find yourself in that situation, you now have both speed and safety on your side.
A lot of companies have made their own mods to the Tesla as the automaker and Model S have grown in popularity. We’ve seen everything from convertibles to builds from parts. It was only a matter of time until someone made it indestructible (or close to it).
International Armoring’s modifications were in hopes to protect both the vehicle’s key mechanicals and the car’s occupants. They were able to do this thanks to the cabin being reinforced with light synthetic-fiber laminates and heat-treated ballistic metals. All glass is replaced with a combination of layered glass and acrylic and polycarbonate laminate and even the battery packs are armored. The suspension is reinforced, the tires are run-flats, and to top it all off, a siren and intercom system is integrated into the car. Talk about intense.
