The Nova Gets Help From Summit

Mike and Pat have been working on Project Pro Street or No Street, the 1962 Chevy Nova in Engine Power. They tore the car apart to update it for the 925 horsepower, 588 cubic inch “Rat Trap” big block Chevy they built at the end of last season. And to help with this build, they used parts combo from Summit Racing. This included a chassis combo, fuel and ignition combo, engine accessories combo, and a completer combo.

For over 40 years, Summit Racing Equipment has set and reset the standard for fast shipping, customer service, and tech expertise. For more info on the Nova build check out our website and head to SummitRacing.com for the combo listings or parts for your build!

This week on PowerNation Katie’s featured ride is a rare 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge. Owner Bill Stovall got it from a salvage yard 18 years ago and did a total frame off restoration back to like factory new. Only 58 came with the Ram Air-4 engine with automatic transmission. That classic color is “Carousel Red” with an interior as stock as it came with black bucket seats, an AM radio, no power seats or power brakes. As Bill says “This is a muscle car that takes muscle to drive”. Along with the tech from our four shops, Team Summit NHRA Funny Car racer Tim Wilkerson has a tech tip on relays. Check it all out this week on PowerNation.

And from all of us here at the Tech Center we wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy NewYear!!
