RPM Act, or “Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act of 2016”, Will Protect Race Cars Against The EPA!
The American love affair with automobiles includes watching and participating in motorsports. For decades Americans have converted their street vehicles into racecars, from pre-World War II classics to modern era performance cars. It has brought joy and jobs to millions. HR 4715, or the RPM Act, can save the street cars converted into race cars from the EPA bill previously trying to shut down those drivers.H.R. 4715, the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act of 2016 (RPM Act) was introduced by U.S. Representatives Patrick McHenry (R-NC), Henry Cuellar (D-TX), Richard Hudson (R-NC), Bill Posey (R-FL) and Lee Zeldin (R-NY) to ensure that converting street vehicles to race cars used exclusively in competition does not violate the Clean Air Act.
