The Showdown We’ve All Been Waiting For…

It’s the race you’ve been waiting for…the Hellcat Challenger verse the ZL1 Camaro! The Hennessey Performance team pitted the two against each other and it’s pretty much muscle car madness. They make several runs and almost ever time the Hellcat manages to inch past the ZL1 for the lead.

However, John Hennessey explains at the end of the video he thinks the Hellcat domination was more likely because of the automatic transmission and not simply power. Because the Camaro ZL1 used in the runs had a 6-speed manual gearbox. Hennessey claims the only times the Hellcat pulls ahead of the ZL1 is when the driver was shifting. So while he was pedal to the medal the whole run, the ZL1 had to let off to shift. SO which side are you on? ZL1 or Hellcat?
