The Top 10 Fastest American Cars On The Nurburgring
Chevy just proved American cars can handle the 12.9 mile Nürburgring track with the Camaro ZL1 1LE’s 7 minute 16 seconds lap time. So that leads to the question of how other U.S. models stack up at the track. So here’s the top 10 Americans that rule the ‘Ring. With the exception of the last two, all times are manufacturer confirmed.
#1. The 2010 Dodge Viper ACR with a 7:12 time
#2. The 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE at 7:16
#3. The 2012 Corvette ZR1 at 7:19
#4. The 2011 Corvette Z06 at 7:22
#5. The 2017 Camaro ZL1 at 7:29
#6. The 2014 Camaro Z/28 at 7:37
#7. The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V at 7:59
#8. The Chevy Corvette at 7:59
#9. The 2005 Dodge Viper at SRT-10 at 7:59
#10. The 2016 Focus RS at 8:06
You may have noticed the lack of times from Ford and although the automaker tests at the track they’ve voiced that they’re not big on publishing Nurburgring times, according to Motor1. So with the Viper sitting as the #1 American ‘Ring King, are you surprised with the list?
