This 1,500-HP Civic Can Hit 60 MPH in 1.1 Seconds
This is one quick Honda. Seriously, look away from your screen for a second (literally) and you’ll miss it.
As of now, Tesla holds the title for the quickest production car. But when you get into the aftermarket, things can get interesting. You run into vehicles like this 1,500-horsepower Honda Civic that’s able to hit 60 mph in just 1.1 seconds on the 1/4 mile.
The car is built by Norris Prayoonto of P-Racing and is featured in the video talking about the car. Under the hood is a custom 2.2-liter inline-four that has billet pistons, a Supertech valvetrain, and custom cams. The Civic was converted to all-wheel-drive and uses a four-speed dogbox in place of the standard manual transmission.
If you’re curious about the Civic’s quarter-mile time, it’s just as impressive. The car clocked a time of 7.45 seconds!
