This 1969 Ford Torino GT Cobra Jet Was Parked For 44 Years In Open Carport
This 1969 Ford Torino GT Cobra Jet has been sitting in this Myrtle Beach open carport since 1975 until it was recently pulled out to list on eBay. With just one single owner and just 46,000 original miles on the clock, it has been sitting in the salty air for 44 long years.
The seller put it on eBay for his elderly friend looking for someone to buy and restore it before it’s too late. Inside the engine bay is a parts-matching 428 cubic-inch Cobra Jet V8. The engine is mostly original and is mated to the 3-speed automatic transmission. It still retains factory air conditioning. But sitting by the salty air in good old Myrtle Beach, it does have its fair share of rust. The seller goes on to say that it runs, shifts into gear, and the motor sounds great. According to the description, he has the original bill of sale, build sheet, dog tag, warranty card, and finance agreement among other things.
The seller has the car up until February 10th and the current bid is at $23,375.
