This Rally Cross Driver Owes A Guardrail Engineer A Beer

Guardrails are in place for a reason, but this European Rally Championship driver owes the engineers that placed this one a beer since it saved his Ford Fiesta R5 from going right off a cliff.

As he rounded the corner, Tomas Kasperczyk almost flew down the side of a mountain as he came in a little too hot. For rally drivers, one wrong move or miscalculation can lead to serious problems. Luckily, the guardrail saved his error this time. The rail was pretty banged up and his car took some hits, but he and his co-pilot managed to get out without a scratch, according to Jalopnik. Talk about lucky. You can check out the whole video on PowerNationTV.com
