Vaughn Gittin Jr. Tries To Teach Marc To Drift In The Mustang Built On Detroit Muscle
Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. paid a visit to the Detroit Muscle shop to help them turn a 2017 Mustang GT Performance Pack Mustang into a drift machine. The Mustang GT was given the works with suspension components from BC Racing, a wide-body conversion kit, Powerstop brake kit, Ford Performance axles, and an RTR front end among other things.
Once they were finished, they brought the car to Gridlife, a huge automotive event in South Haven, Michigan, for Vaughn himself to test on the track. He also had Tommy Boshers strap into the passenger seat of Vaughn’s competitive RTR Mustang for an intense drift session around the course. Luckily, Tommy didn’t have to use his shirt as a barf bag.
At Road Atlanta, Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Marc Christ met up on the drift pad to give Marc a few lessons in drifting. Drifting may look easy to do, but it takes a lot of practice, and according to Vaughn’s face, Marc needs a bit of work. While most of us would probably look about the same trying it out, it is pretty funny to watch.
