Watch The Ford 7.3L Godzilla Dyno Pull, Engine Weight Revealed

YouTuber Evan Smith has been posting installments with updates and a look into Ford’s new 7.3L Godzilla engine that will be put under the hood of the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup. The crew cab trucks will be offered with a choice of the pushrod-V8 codenamed “Godzilla,” or a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8.

In this video, Evan weighs the engine and lets it run on the dyno. It turns out the 7.3L weighs 538 pounds. Evan then weighed a 428 cubic-inch Ford 351 Windsor iron block engine and Coyote for reference. The Windsor weighed in at 471 lbs. and the 302 c.i.d. dual-overhead-cam Coyote engine at just 404 lbs.
