Well, YouTube channel Warped Perception decided to check out what actually goes in with your vehicle every time you take on a speed bump. They took a Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan and removed the body panels so you can see what’s happening in real-time.

Basically, what they found out is that, shockingly, nothing really terrible happens to the car. Every once in a while if you take a speed bump full speed you might bottom out. But chances of ruining your suspension is pretty slim.

Doing stuff like that long term? Yeah, that may have an impact on your car. But isn’t that to be expected? Drive like a regular human and you’ll have regular wear and tear on your car. Common sense.
