Will Hummer Return As An Electric Truck Brand?

There are reports that GM may bring Hummer back from the dead after it’s discontinuation in 2016. In the form of an electric truck. Reuters has reported that General Motors will begin the production of a lineup of high-end electric pickups and SUVs in 2021 and that a reboot of the Hummer brand isn’t out of the question.

General Motors president Mark Reuss has said “I love Hummer,” and that there is a “massive” market for electric trucks.

The only information that has been confirmed by General Motors is that an electric pickup will be introduced at an unspecified date. A final decision on using the Hummer name hasn’t been reached. The trucks would be built at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant.
