There’s a rumor circulating that the Ford Raptor may get the Mustang Shelby GT500 engine in two years. Last month, Ford announced its new “Godzilla” 7.3-Liter V8 and 10-Speed Auto for the 2020 F-Series Super Duty. The automaker also announced it would fit in the Mustang.

However, with Ram’s announcement of the Hellcat-powered Ram Rebel TRX coming up in 2 years, it may very well be in the engine bay of the 2020 Raptor. AutoBlog reports that “Ford plans a Raptor featuring the Mustang Shelby GT500’s supercharged 5.2-liter V8”.

The downside would of course come with the sticker price. Right now, Raptors start around $54,400 but with the added power could potentiall run up as high as $70,000, some people are predicting. Worth it?
