You Can Be Ticketed For Having ‘Inoperable Cars’ On Your Property In This Arkansas City

Another American town is enforcing insane rules. Similar to the California town that fined people for keeping garage doors closed and the New Jersey town that fined non-residents for driving through, West Memphis, Arkansas is banning people from having inoperable cars on their property.

The reason? Local news Fox 13 reports because Ordinance 1298 says they’re “unsightly”. The term inoperable is defined as any car that doesn’t have current plates, cannot be legally operated on the streets, or have the wheels removed. Violators will be fined anywhere from $250 to $1,000. Do think this helps keep neighborhoods look nice or is it too invasive? Let us know in the comments!
